Microsoft 365 Copilot is a business AI assistant that works inside familiar Office apps. It can summarise a long email thread in Outlook, take notes in a Teams meeting, draft a document in Word or help with an Excel sheet. Because it runs within your organisation's own Microsoft environment, data stays under company control and isn't used to train the models. It's a paid add-on for businesses and costs clearly more than consumer services. It pays off most if your team already uses Microsoft 365 every day.
Who it is for: Businesses that already run on Microsoft 365.
Best for: Emails and letters, Presentations, Excel and data, Marketing, Customer service, Writing
👍 Pros
- Works directly in Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
- Business-grade data protection and admin controls
- Saves time in meetings and email
⚠️ Keep in mind
- Expensive per user for a small business
- Requires a Microsoft 365 business plan
- Value depends on how well organised your files are
